1.  Why donate my ticket!

Many times you find yourself unable to use event tickets and scrambling at the last minute to find someone willing to use them.  We have over 75 charities willing to chaperone youth to a variety of events.  This may be the only opportunity many of these children have to attend events that we take for granted.

The best reason is the chance you have to touch the life of a child in a positive manner.  Exposing underprivileged youth, foster children, at-risk youth and children with recurrent medical needs to cultural and performing arts or one of a variety of sporting events is priceless.

You will also receive a full tax deduction for the face value of tickets donated.

2.  How do I donate tickets?

Tickets may be donated in two ways.  The most convenient method is to register as a donor on the Texas TicKids website.  This process is simple and you will be approved within 24 hours.  After you are approved as a donor, you simply log on with your e-mail address and a password you have chosen.  Click on "Donate my spare Tickets" and fill out the form.  You will need to know the event, where it is being held and the time of the event.  You have a choice of delivering the tickets directly to the charity either personally, via mail, e-ticket or courier.  The tickets may also be placed at the will call window at the venue.  If you wish TicKids to be involved in delivery, please contact Denise Hamilton at 713-741-KIDS (5437) to arrange this.  Once your tickets are submitted you will receive a tax-deductible receipt and when your tickets are claimed you will receive an e-mail notice with contact information to that effect.

3.  How do I get the tickets to the Charity?

You may choose the method of delivery.  If time permits you may mail them or courier them to the charity.  Many of our charities are happy to pick tickets up at your office or a prearranged site.  Simply provide a contact name and number in the delivery box.  You may also choose to leave the tickets at the will call window and the charity representative can pick them up there.  Please make sure you place the tickets in an envelope and include a name to ensure the correct recipient.

4.  What type of tickets are available to charities?

Tickets for any type of event are available.  We receive donated tickets to sporting events, theater, ballet, symphony, circus, Disney on Ice, concerts, etc.  Sporting events include professional and college sports such as football, baseball, soccer, tennis and hockey.  We have no control over the type of tickets donated and therefore can never predict what tickets will be available through the website.

5.  Can I donate money if I do not have tickets to donate?

Of course, we accept all donations and use those funds to help suppliment ticket purchases.  You may donate by check or charge.  We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.  You may donate online by going to the tab: Friends of TicKids and filling out the donation form or you can mail a check to 1302 Waugh Dr. PMB 157, Houston, TX  77019.
